Revealing Who Jesus Is

Speaker Hanniel Ghezzi discusses three passages where Jesus reveals who He is and discusses what that means for us.

Faith rests upon the past
Jesus is the ultimate example of faith

He prayed for us
He prayed for everyone who would come to know Him

By declaring Himself Christ, He declares Himself God.

His office is manifold, and His promise is sure. His life is matchless,
and His goodness is limitless. His mercy is enough, and His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous, His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.

Acts 22:6-8

“Now it happened, as I journeyed and came near Damascus at about noon, suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me. And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ So I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’

John 17:1-4

Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

Key Verse:

Revelation 22:16

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

Just Give Me Jesus

His office is manifold, and His promise is sure. His life is matchless, and His goodness is limitless. His mercy is enough, and His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous, His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.

He is indestructible.
He is incomprehensible
He is inescapable.
He is invincible.
He is irresistible.
He is irrefutable.
He is indescribable.

I can’t get Him out of my mind…
And I can’t get Him out of my heart.
I can’t outlive Him…
And I can’t live without Him. The Pharisees couldn’t stand Him,
but found they couldn’t stop Him.
Satan tried to tempt Him, but found he couldn’t trip Him.
Pilot examined Him on trial, but found he couldn’t find fault in Him.
The Romans crucified him, but they couldn’t take His life.
Death couldn’t handle Him, and the grave couldn’t hold Him.
